A press conference regarding the finalization of the project “Strengthening of the institution of the Protector of human rights and freedoms”
The press conference regarding the finalization of the project “Strengthening of the institution of the Protector of Human Rights and Freedoms”, which was financed by the European Union and carried out by Center for Monitoring and Research, CeMI, in cooperation with the OSCE Mission in Montenegro, was held on April 26th 2011, at the premises of PR Centre in Podgorica.
Mr. Zlatko Vujovic, President of the Governing Board of CeMI, and Ms. Marijana Lakovic, deputy Protector of Human Rights and Freedoms, spoke at the press conference. The most significant results of this project were presented, which includes: trainings for members of Ombudsman’s Cabinet – for the EU Projects proposals and for writing of annual reports; workshops held by foreign international experts on themes of anti-discrimination and the prevention of torture; study visit to the Ombudsman institution in Sweden; development of new electronic data base and many other activities carried out in order to strengthen human and technical capacities of the Ombudsman institution.
