The Centre for Monitoring and Research CeMI was elected for Secretary-General of the European Network of Election Monitoring Organizations (ENEMO). CeMI is elected on this function by the General Assembly of ENEMO network held from 6th – 7th April 2017 in Tbilisi, Georgia.
On behalf of CeMI, Zlatko Vujovic, the President of the Governing Board will carry out the function of the Secretary General.
The European Network of Election Monitoring Organizations (ENEMO) is an international network of leading non-profit non-governmental organizations for monitoring the elections from 19 countries of Central and Eastern Europe and Central Asia. This network has implemented 23 international election observation missions in 7 countries so far and member organizations have observed more than 200 elections in their own countries and trained over 200,000 observers.
CeMI is one of the founders of the European Network of Election Monitoring Organizations in 2001 and has participated in numerous international ENEMO missions, such as, for example, the mission in Ukraine, Kosovo, Moldova, Kazakhstan, etc.
The function of the Secretary-General CeMI will perform in the period between 2017 and 2019, during which will program and financially manage international election observation missions and will continue institutional reform of the organization and increase the local presence of the ENEMO in the member countries of the organization.
The next General Assembly of the European Network of Election Monitoring Organizations will be held in 2019 in Montenegro.
