Centre for Monitoring and Research (CeMI), in cooperation with NGO Transparency Serbia organized a bilateral meeting attended by eminent representatives of the prosecution, judiciary and police from Montenegro and Serbia, who are engaged in financial investigations.
A bilateral meeting called “Financial Investigations in the Fight Against Organized Crime in Montenegro” was held on April 19, 2018 in PR Center in Podgorica.
Bilateral meeting was opened by Program Director of Transparency Serbia Nemanja Nenadić, and CeMI’s Legal Department Director, Bojan Božović. The meeting was attended by eminent representatives of all institutions (prosecution, judiciary, police) in Montenegro and Serbia who are engaged in financial investigations.
The meeting was part of regular activities within the project „Strenghtening investigation and prosecution capacitiy in the Western Balkan Countries- Financial Investigations as a tool to combat organized crime and corruption“, implemented by CeMI in cooperation with partners: Association for Democratic Initiatives (ADI) from Sarajevo and Transparency Serbia from Belgrade.
The project is financially supported by the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands.
The disscusion conducted at this occasion will be significant during the activities that CeMI will undertake in the further project implementation.
