Centre for Monitoring and Research (CeMI) will monitor local elections to be held in Ulcinj on 4th of February and will have observers in all polling station, the organization said.
Representatives of CeMI met today in Ulcinj with the Ambassador of Great Britain Alison Kemp, and on this occasion informed her about the results of the project “Electoral integrity in Montenegro – Monitoring Local Elections in Ulcinj, 2018”, as well as plans for the election day.
“The purpose of the project is to increase the level of public confidence in the electoral process by contributing to the creation of democratic conditions for transparent, free and fair local elections In Ulcinj, as well as preventing electoral irregularities during the electoral process”, the statement said.
CeMI announced that they will regularly inform citizens about their exit and possible irregularities in the polling stations.
“After closing the polling stations, CeMI will inform the public of the voting results”, the statement added.
Project “Electoral Integrity in Montenegro – Monitoring Local Elections in Ulcinj, 2018” CeMI is implementing with the support of the British Embassy.
