On Wednesday, November 29, 2017, the Centre for Monitoring and Research (CeMI) organized a national meeting on “Financial Investigations as a Tool for Combating Organized Crime and Corruption” at the PR Center.
The national meeting was opened by Marijana LAKOVIC-DRAŠKOVIC, Director General of the Directorate for Justice at the Ministry of Justice of Montenegro, and Zlatko Vujovic, President of the CEMI Board of Directors. The meeting was attended by eminent representatives of all relevant institutions (prosecution, judiciary, police) involved in the institute of financial investigations.
The national meeting was part of the regular activities under the project “Strengthening investigation and prosecution capacity in the Western Balkans countries – Financial investigations as a tool to combat organized crime and corruption”, which is being implemented by CeMI in partnership with partners: Association for Democratic Initiatives (ADI) from Sarajevo and Transparency Serbia from Serbia. The project is financially supported by the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands.
The discussion held on this occasion will be significant during the further activities that CeMi will undertake in the continuation of the project.
