Within the project „Health Care System and Patients’ Rights in Montenegro – Winning Citizens’ Confidence“ our partner Centre for Investigative Journalism of Montenegro prepared series of articles, of which the tenth article refers to the interview with Sead Cirgic, director of the Health Insurance Fund.
In this article the introduction of electronic medical records in the next year is announced. Also, Cirgic said that patients could make appointments via internet without having to go to the general physisian, and they would be able to have complete insight in their laboratory results and medical receipts.
In the article, you can read about the sick leave costs, cleansing the insured’s base, which should be consistent with Tax Administration data, as well as about the electronic appointments, which would significantly reduce the wait for the appointment.
