The education system for young people should be aimed at promoting lifelong learning and the acquisition of key skills. Our formal education provides young people with the necessary knowledge and skills that are only valid for a certain period of time, while on the other hand, non-formal education because of its nature and mode of operation, offers quality methods of acquiring the necessary skills throughout life. Their complementary relationship can provide young people independence, greater employment, personal and professional development, as well as better quality of life.
