Nermina was born in 1974, in Višegrad, Bosnia and Herzegovina. She graduated from Faculty of Political Sciences, University of Sarajevo, in 1995. She continued her studies on that faculty and, in 2002, obtained Master of Science degree. She completed PhD studies in 2006 and is currently enrolled at postdoctoral studies at the University of Ljubljana.
Professor Nermina has been working at Faculty of Political Sciences, University of Sarajevo, since 1998. Since then, she has held several positions: she was Assistant at the Department of Journalism (1998 – 2002), Higher Assistant at Department of Journalism and Department of Political Science (2002 – 2007) and currently works as an Associate Professor.
Her professional experience also includes a four-year long employment at Radio-television of Bosnia and Herzegovina (1994 – 1998) and one-year long engagement at Television “Sarajevo”, as Editor-in-chief.
At the moment, she presides over the Steering Board of the Association of Political Scientists of Bosnia and Herzegovina and holds membership at the Ethical Council of the University of Sarajevo.
