The Monitoring Center, in partnership with International Aid Network – IAN Belgrade, held the fourth training for members of the Coalition for Combating Poverty and Social Exclusion. The coalition was formed in the framework of the project “Strengthening capacities in advocacy and preparation of policies of the Coalition of NGOs in the fight against poverty and social exclusion”, consisting of nine organizations from Montenegro, Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina. The project is financially supported by the European Union, through the European Commission Delegation in Podgorica.
In order to strengthen the Coalition, have been successfully held four training sessions for representatives from the Coalition on the topic of writing and preparation of proposals EU projects, advocacy based on facts, effective writing policy papers. The last training was held on Jahorina from 01 June to 04 June 2010 entitled “Strategic approach to advocacy and lobbying as one of the methods of action in relations and communication with the public.”
This successfully completed training, aimed to introduce participants to the process of strategic planning and lobbying, as well as to introduce them to the techniques of effective advocacy. During the training, participants were able to get through a few exercises better acquainted with the way of upgrading the necessary capacity for lobbying and advocacy, as well as the identification of media partners and different types of public and Communications in the public.
